Wellspring – Beauvais House Adolescent Girls Residential Program

Company Description

Wellspring’s Beauvais House in Bethlehem, Connecticut, offers a long‑term residential program for adolescent girls ages 13–18 who are grappling with complex mental health, emotional and relational challenges. Founded in 1977, Wellspring integrates therapeutic care with academics and daily living on a serene 15‑acre campus. Girls live in restored farmhouses surrounded by gardens, pastures and barns housing goats, sheep and other animals. The program embraces a relational and strengths‑based philosophy, fostering high structure and high nurture so residents can address mood disorders, eating disorders, trauma, personality disorders and attachment difficulties in a safe, home‑like environment.

Each resident receives an individualized treatment plan that includes individual and group therapy, family therapy, expressive arts, adventure‑based therapies, yoga and mindfulness, land‑ and animal‑assisted programming and 24‑hour nursing care. Girls attend the on‑campus Arch Bridge School, an accredited private school recognized for its college‑prep academics and positive teacher‑student relationships, ensuring continuity of education during treatment. Family involvement is paramount: parents participate in individual and multi‑family therapy sessions, support groups and discharge planning. The typical length of stay ranges from six to 18 months, allowing time for deep healing and practice of new skills.

The Beauvais House campus is located at 21 Arch Bridge Road in Bethlehem, CT 06751. Wellspring is licensed by the State of Connecticut, approved by neighboring states and accredited by The Joint Commission and the New England Association of Schools and Colleges (NEASC). Families seeking a gender‑responsive residential program with a family‑style atmosphere and integrated academics often choose Wellspring for its unique blend of therapeutic depth, community involvement and holistic outdoor experiences.
